Ethnic Breads was founded in 1985 by Sheldon Kaganoff, a retired UCSB professor with a passion for traditional breads from around the world. What began as a small, handcrafted operation quickly earned a reputation for quality and authenticity.
In 1999, the bakery was acquired by Peter Zadeh, a trained commercial baker, who expanded the operation into a full-scale wholesale facility—serving over 120 accounts while maintaining the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Today, Ethnic Breads operates out of a 7,000-square-foot bakery in Goleta, supplying fresh and frozen products to restaurants, hotels, and food services operations throughout the region.
Our focus is simple: deliver consistent, Clean, high-quality bread with the reliability and responsiveness that professional kitchens depend on.
